What Hacker News says?

  1. You might like this website: https://www.cameronsworld.net/ It's a Geocities archive containing websites hosted on the platform from the 90s/00s. I really like the creativity and authenticity in the archived sites, it's like looking at a mirror into the past.

  3. I do not as global warming has caused my servers to dissolve into ash particles. You can try to find me in your favorite code editor (I live there now), but alas...to answer your question - if you are genuinely curious about the type of work I can do, please see Cameron's World[0] as it best reflects my approach to brandable (and sustainable I guess) web design. 21. Spot on. This is just the anti-trend to minimalism, which again was the anti-trend to what I grew up with: https://www.cameronsworld.net/ (which was the anti-trend to the original, booooooring beginnings of hypertext) 'All grown-ups were once children... but only few of them remember it.' — Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

  27. Ok, this is a long shot, but if any forum is likely to know, it's HN. I first got my start in web development when I was around 8 (early 2000s) thanks to a very large (or at least it was to an 8 year old) purple book on HTML. There was one passing mention of how animated GIFs might be added to websites with an IMG tag. The example of the animated GIF they showed (they exploded the frames) reminded me of this image […
