This is still my favorite mind-blowing introduction to them, from 2009: http://www.dabeaz.com/coroutines/Coroutines.pdf Don't have hardware interrupts or threads but still want a multi-tasking operating system? Not A Problem.

  9. I wonder what fun The Amazing David Beazley thinks PEP 750 t-strings are? I recently asked him: -- Hi David! I am a huge long time fan of SWIG and your numerous epic talks on Python. I remember watching you give a kinda recent talk where you made the point that it’s a great idea to take advantage of the latest features in Python, instead of wasting your time trying to be backwards compatible. I think you discussed h…

  11. i had to put together something resembling a compiler for a class, i used mainly two sources: for the theory part: http://www.diku.dk/hjemmesider/ansatte/torbenm/Basics/ (Basics of Compiler Design - Free book) actualy put something together: http://www.dabeaz.com/ply/ (PLY (Python Lex-Yacc)) maybe not the solution for real world use, but helped me jump past some nitpicking parts with the C / lex / yacc implementatio…

I've taken 2 of David Beazley's courses.[1] And, I highly recommend them. If you haven't seen some of his talks, he's very good at explaining things by building them from nothing. I took 2 courses: "Rafting Trip" and "Write a Compiler". Both were awesome. The Rafting Trip took us through implementing the Raft consensus algorithm from scratch. And the "Write a Compiler" course had us build a small language using LLVM…

David Beazley teaches weeklong intensive courses on Raft and interpreters and SICP. Good use of a corporate education budget. I have no affiliation with it I just love the idea and hope to see more like this. https://www.dabeaz.com/courses.html
